The Broker’s Section 8 Policy
It is the Broker’s understanding that he cannot accept Section 8 vouchers unless the Property Owner has voluntarily agreed to participate in the Department of HUD’s Housing Assistance Provider program to accept Section 8 vouchers. In the listing agreement between the Broker and the Owner, the Broker requires the Owner to disclose whether or not they are participants in the Department of HUD’s HAP program to accept Section 8 vouchers. In the situation where an Owner affirms that they are willing to accept Section 8 vouchers, the Broker will publish this information in the online advertising for that specific property.
